Fred v. Hillary
A lot of the other candidates use their wives to attack Hillary Clinton; i.e. their wimps. But Fred Thompson is different. He sees the threat that she poses to this country with her socialized medicine and is talking out against it right now.
He’s absolutely right. Expanding health care coverage will worsen the care that everyone already gets because there will be no financial incentive to not go into the doctor’s office for whatever ailment. And leaving it up to congress to decide how we are going to pay for our own health is disastrous. What does the government do well? Do you trust the government to provide the food you eat? Why is health care different?
Health care is not a right. If you can’t pay for it ask for help. If there’s no one there to help it is truly a sad situation but not a situation that can be solved by the government. Look at social security. It’s suppose to provide all of us with a retirement. Does anyone really think they’re going to be getting checks for their retirement from the government in 30 or even 20 years? If you rely on the government to provide the basics for your life you might as well give up right now. BigT
